Basic Analysis of Scientific Grade Images: Introduction to ImageJ and Volocity Software ( Micaela Grandolfo )

This course analyzes what a digital image is and in particular what a “science grade” digital image is  in order to allow the student to correctly interpret and use the data contained in it. Using several images as example we will see some basic concepts of image processing and some basic analysis protocols to count objects, quantify fluorescence and evaluate possible object colocalization both using ImageJ software, mainly in 2D, and Volocity software for 3D analysis.
