Marco helps in the experimental activities involving the design of hardware for scientific setups.

He can be contacted for:

  • mechanical design of scientific setups;
  • basic automation like sound, motion, light and temperature control;
  • basic Arduino projects developing;
  • basic electronics assembly;
  • mechanical design for rapid prototyping and CNC milling (see courses);
  • CAD/CAM software assistance (see courses);
  • plexiglass laser cutting;
  • basic optical setups arrangement;
  • biomedical implant prototyping for chronic and acute electrohysiological recordings;
  • evaluation of material properties to fit the requirements of the experiments (biocompatibility, hygroscopicity, temperature resilience, odour absorption);
  • FEM analysis for physical stress prediction in mechanical models.

Marco graduated in Archaeology at the University of Udine. Thanks to his endured attitude for the technical disciplines, to many years of technical formation in professional courses and to the endless paths of the providence, he arrived here at SISSA in 2008.
