Micaela is responsable for the management of the Microscopy and Histology Facilities and provides support for the experimental activities.

She can be contacted for:

• advise in the design and setting-up of immunofluorescence experiment;
• support in image processing and analysis with science grade software (i.e., NIS Elements, Volocity, ImageJ, Fiji);
• training and assistance with the instruments and the devices available in the Microscopy and FACS facility (i.e., Nikon confocal A1, Nikon confocal C1, Leica DM6000, cryostat, microtome, S3 BioRad Sorter);
• theoretical and practical training in various aspects of microscopy (see courses).

Micaela got a master’s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Trieste, she doctorated in Biochemistry at the University of Trieste and she got a master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She previously worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the DIBIT San Raffaele of Milano, at the Biochemistry and Biophysics of Macromolecules of the University of Trieste and at Neurobiology Sector of Sissa of Trieste.
