"A" Floor 6 - Room 641: PCR and Cell Sorter

This room is separated in 3 areas:

  1. A clean, pre-amplification zone, equipped with a cabinet workstation for PCR-related sample preparation and the following instruments:
  • DeNovix Microvolume Spectrophotometer with Fluorometer module;
  • Filter-based Microplate reader;
  • QX 200 Droplet Digital Generator;
  • S3 Cell Sorter;
  • Benchtop centrifuge for plates.
  1. An amplification zone which hosts:
  • QX 200 Droplet Reader;
  • CFX96 Touch Real Time PCR;
  • CFX Connect Real Time PCR;
  • Thermocyclers.
  1. A post-amplification zone with:
  • Equipment for Wet Protein Electrophoresis and Blotting;
  • Trans-Blot turbo transfer system for Dry and Semi-dry western blots;
  • Equipment for DNA and RNA electrophoresis;
  • Thermoblocks;
  • Microwave oven.

Please take care not to take any amplification products or pipettes and lab coats used for working with PCR products into the pre-amplification zone which should be maintained as clean as possible.
